“Despite contrary indications,
I had little doubt that a mighty purpose and rhythm underlay all.
How could there be so much of precise and immutable law,
and no intelligence?
I simply had to believe in a Spirit of the Universe,
who knew neither time nor limitation.”
Bill W. 1976 AAWS, Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 10
“A wise plan for knowing who you are is to first discover who
you are not, and you are not your acquired self-descriptions.”

“MADE A LIST . . .”
Made a list of all persons we had harmed, . . .
When I approached the Eighth Step, I wondered how I could list all the things that I have done to other people since there were so many people, and some of them weren’t alive anymore. Some of the hurts I inflicted weren’t bad, but they really bothered me. The main thing to see in this Step was to become willing to do whatever I had to do to make these amends to the best of my ability at that particular time. Where there is a will, there’s a way, so if I want to feel better, I need to unload the guilt feelings I have. A peaceful mind has no room for feelings of guilt. With the help of my Higher Power, if I am honest with myself, I can cleanse my mind of these feelings.

As we contemplate these words and meditate upon their meaning, with prayerful thoughtfulness, there wells up from within us a new vision, a vision which has power to offset hate, to destroy discord, to still anguish, to obliterate fear. There wells up from within us a trust, a consciousness that we are surrounded by an Infinite Goodness; and that thought of peace spreads itself beyond the confines of our own consciousness and helps in healing a sick world of the belief that it must fight. First, at home, in the silence of our own thoughts, let us heal ourselves of fear, of doubt, of uncertainty. Let our lives be peaceful; let our lives be whole.

From time to time I get a divorce from this self.
I go to nature in silence where i am no longer a urban dweller.
I sit like a tree in the forest with all its quietude,
as leaves droop and fall to ground and So to
this worry mind worn down to its root to nothingness
i arrive at the right address-
divorcing this self to commune in a sacred sanctuary,
Home of the ‘I am presence’…

We are delusional when we get here,
if you don’t believe that stick around
and listen for a while.
This moment, this love, comes to rest in me
many beings in one being
In one wheat grain a thousand sheep stacks
Inside the needle’s eye
a turning night of stars
There is a light seed grain inside
you fill it with yourself or it dies
I am caught in this curling energy, your hair
who ever is calm and sensible
is insane!
ACIM Workbook Lesson 222 Insights
“God is with me. I live and move in Him.”
If I live in God, I must be perfectly safe. God is Love and nothing else. There can be no harm in Him. I live in Love and harmlessness. To experience this I must forgive God for not meeting my demand that He give me the specialness He could not give. And I must forgive myself for rejecting God because He could not meet my demand.
The ego made the body in order to make it appear that specialness is possible. But it is an illusion and could never be real. If I am offended in any way, it is because I believe it is possible I could be hurt. I could only believe this if I believe I am the image the ego has made. But I live and move in God. The Self that lives in God could never be an image, for what is one could never contain distinct and different images. What is one must be all the same by definition.
If I live and move in God, I must be an extension of God. All God’s attributes are mine. All His gifts are mine. Because it is God’s Will that I am one with Him, it is impossible that I could ever be harmed.
Each time I perceive a threat of any kind and take it to the Holy Spirit for Him to shine His healing Light upon it, I come closer to full remembrance of the life I live in God. I come closer to the experience of His peace. I remember that what I thought my brother did to me never occurred.
Forgiveness is the means by which I awaken to my Home in God. I am grateful I have the means through which I can remember God is with me.
There is only one real life and that is the life I live in God. There is only one Love and that is the Love of God. God’s Love is changeless and eternal. This means my life is changeless and eternal.
The only usefulness the body has is its use as an instrument of the Holy Spirit for awakening from the dream of separation. Beyond every form is Love. If I look for Love I will find Love. I give thanks that this is the truth.

Do not forget when you meet beauty of every kind, to speak your gratitude to the Father within for surrounding you with so much wonder and beauty and for opening your eyes that you might see and enjoy it.

John Lennon was one of those rare people who was more influenced by peace and harmony than living an affluent life. His words were not only deep but inspiring. While John did not lead a very long life, his words remain immortal.
“I’m not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I’ve always been a freak. So I’ve been a freak all my life and I have to live with that, you know. I’m one of those people.”

“Produce your own dream. If you want to save Peru, go save Peru. It’s quite possible to do anything, but not if you put it on the leaders and the parking meters. Don’t expect Carter or Reagan or John Lennon or Yoko Ono or Bob Dylan or Jesus Christ to come and do it for you. You have to do it yourself.”
