All things in life are relative. Without night, there would be no day; without evil, there would be no good; without sorrow, there would be no joy.
Drunk or sober, clouds will occasionally appear on the horizon, but most of them will blow away. Storm’s will sometimes break upon us but, if we are prepared, we can ride it out and the rainbow will follow giving promise of better things ahead.
Yesterday’s rain enhances our pleasure in today’s sunshine.

. . . when making specific requests, it will be well to add to each one of them this qualification. “. . . if it be Thy will.”
I ask simply that throughout the day God place in me the best understanding of His will that I can have for that day, and that I be given the grace by which I may carry it out. As the day goes on, I can pause when facing situations that must be met and decisions that must be made, and renew the simple request: “Thy will, not mine, be done.”
I must always keep in mind that in every situation I am responsible for the effort and God is responsible for the outcome. I can “Let Go and Let God” by humbly repeating: “Thy will, not mine, be done.” Patience and persistence in seeking His will for me will free me from the pain of selfish expectations.
 Vernon Howard’s SECRETS OF LIFE
‘I know the harm in anger, but can’t seem to do anything about it.’
‘You can understand it. Anger flares up whenever something disturbs
a pretentious picture we have of ourselves. The man, who sees himself
as being important, will resent anything suggesting the opposite. If
you don’t try to be important, you cannot be disturbed. If you don’t
want to be an Indian chief, you are indifferent when someone takes
your grand feathers.'”

My world is a world filled with good.
The secret to having it all is knowing
 you already do.
If the gift of life is already made,
Our part must be to accept,
receive, believing in and use it.

People want you to be happy.
Don’t keep serving them your pain!
If you could untie your wings and free your soul of jealousy,
you and everyone around you would fly up like doves.

Lesson 223
God is my life. I have no life but His.
I was mistaken when I thought I lived apart from God, a separate entity that moved in isolation, unattached, and housed within a body. Now I know my life is God’s, I have no other home, and I do not exist apart from Him. He has no Thoughts that are not part of me, and I have none but those which are of Him.
Our Father, let us see the face of Christ instead of our mistakes. For we who are Your holy Son are sinless. We would look upon our sinlessness, for guilt proclaims that we are not Your Son. And we would not forget You longer. We are lonely here, and long for Heaven, where we are at home. Today we would return. Our Name is Yours, and we acknowledge that we are Your Son.

All things are living;all things are dancing in the rhythm of eternal harmony.
Paramahansa Yogananda

“When God created me, he knew that I
would drink a lot of wine. So if I didn’t, the
omniscience of God would stand on its head.”
