Eye Opener (1950)Why is the world? Why are we here?
What is our purpose? Why must we live and suffer and die?
Without God, there would be no answer.
We do not know the great extent of God’s purpose,
but we do know that we as individuals,
each and every one, must somehow fit into that purpose.

We can only know God as He has revealed Himself to us.
We know His principle attribute is goodness.
Therefore, His purpose must be good,
and we can best serve that purpose by aspiring to the highest
standard of goodness that we can conceive.
Twenty Four Hours A Day 1,2016
Thought for the Day
In that alcoholic world, one drink always leads to another and you can’t stop till you’re paralyzed. And the next morning it begins all over again. You eventually land in a hospital or jail. You lose your job. Your home is broken up. You’re always in a mess. You’re on the merry-go-round and you can’t get off. You’re in a squirrel cage and you can’t get out. Am I convinced that the alcoholic world is not a pleasant place for me to live in?
Meditation for the Day
I must learn to accept self-discipline. I must try never to yield one point that I have already won. I must not let myself go in resentments, hates, fears, pride, lust, or gossip. Even if the discipline keeps me separated from some people who are without discipline, nevertheless I will carry on. I may have different ways and a different standard of living than some others. I may be actuated by different motives than some people. But I will try to live the way I believe God wants me to live, no matter what others say.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may be an example to others of a better way of living. I pray that I may carry on in spite of hindrances.
This original life is infinite.
It is good. It is filled with peace.
It is the essence of purity.
It is the ultimate of intelligence.
It is power. It is low. It is life. It is in us.

“We liked AA all right,
and were quick to say that it had done miracles.
But we recoiled from meditation and prayer
as obstinately as the scientist who refused to perform
a certain experiment lest it prove his pet theory wrong.
Of course, we finally did experiment,
and when unexpected results followed, we felt different;
in fact we knew different;
and so were sold on meditation and prayer.
And that, we have found, can happen to anybody who tries.
It has been said that ‘almost the only scoffers at prayer
are those who never tried it enough.’ “

ACIM Workbook Lesson 101 Insights
God’s Will for me is perfect happiness.”
God is eternal Love. You are eternal Love. I am eternal Love. Eternal Love is happiness. Inherent in eternal Love is indescribable peace and joy. As we return to the truth, we recognize that this and only this is reality.
Separate bodies are not God’s Will. With belief in separate bodies comes belief in sin. Belief can make appearances seem real, but it cannot make it the truth.
God wills only happiness for us. Love wills only Love and sees only Love. Death and pain and destruction are not God’s Will. Truth is true and nothing else is true. Salvation or happiness is not found through pain. Salvation or happiness is found only through returning to the truth, returning to Love. Jesus wants us all to return to Love. Jesus wants us to accept the truth. He knows we are one Self, united with our Creator.
The magnificent painting of creation stretches across the Infinite Canvas of time and space.
Every object and event in nature is a masterful stroke of the Great Painter.
