Eye Opener (1950)
It is very noticeable that most of the great religious teachers or prophets prescribed nothing but a code of morals and ethics. All their teachings were characterized by an almost complete lack of formal religious observances.

They have pointed out the direction but never the path. If we follow other men’s paths, we fall over the same stones they fell over, and we got lost where they got lost. Each of us must carve out his own path, and the progress we make will be determined by our own efforts to advance.
Vernon Howard’s SECRETS OF LIFE

“Truth allows you to fail without being a failure. Did you ever
hear anything more happy, encouraging or amazing than that? Truth,
Reality allows you to fail without being a failure.

If you have an old worn-out coat, you throw it out and put on a new
coat of any color, you have not failed, you have succeeded. Truth
permits you to take off all the cumbersome and wearisome garments
of yesterday to take them away and feel afterward that you’re in
a higher level than before, which you are because the old garments
will be replaced by new garments.

We’re talking about you succeeding spiritually, succeeding by al-
lowing everything that is wrong with your nature to fall off and
fall away. Now, most people are unable to do that because they
don’t know the secret that you now know.”

Twenty Four Hours A Day MARCH 23,2015

Thought for the Day
Strength comes from the fellowship you find when you come into A.A. just being with men and women who have found the way out gives you a feeling of security. You listen to the speakers, you talk with other members, and you absorb the atmosphere of confidence and hope that you find in the place. Am I receiving strength from the fellowship with other AA. members?
Meditation for the Day
God is with you, to bless and help you. His spirit is all around you. Waver not in your faith or in your prayers. All power is the Lord’s. Say that to yourself often and steadily. Say it until your heart sings with joy for the safety and personal power that it means to you. Say it until the very force of the utterance drives back and puts to naught all the evils against you. Use it as a battle cry. All power is the Lord’s. Then you will pass on to victory over all your sins and temptations, and you will begin to live a victorious life.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that with strength from God I may lead an abundant life. I pray that I may lead a life of victory.
Since we are thinking beings and
cannot stop thinking,and since
Creative Mind receives our thought
and cannot stop creating.
It must always be creating something for us .

“We needed to ask ourselves but one short question. ‘Do I now
believe, or am I even willing to believe, that there is a Power
greater than myself?’ As soon as a man can say that he does believe,
or is willing to believe, we emphatically assure him that he is on
his way. It has been repeatedly proven among us that upon this
simple cornerstone a wonderfully effective spiritual structure can be built.”

I placed one foot on the wide plain of death,
and some grand immensity sounded on the emptiness.
I have felt nothing ever like the wild wonder of that moment.

ACIM Workbook Lesson 82 Insights
Review: “The light of the world brings peace to every mind.”
and “Let me not forget my function.”
My function is to stay in tune with the Holy Spirit. With the Holy Spirit, I am able to see through the eyes of Christ. Christ is One and includes the whole Sonship. As I am able to see the Christ, I am remembering the truth. When I remember the truth, I extend peace to the whole Sonship. This is my one true function. This is why I am here. Nothing else matters.

Let me remember my function. Let me feel the happiness that comes with joining with my true Nature and the true Nature of everyone. Today is the day of practicing this.

We behold thee through the portals of our prayers,
but we find thee through the portals of our love.
